Buttercup

Krystal was commissioned to paint one of the fiberglass cows made famous by the Chicago Cow Parade, a large exhibit of street art featuring life-sized fiberglass cows. Buttercup was painted with acryllic paints, and then sent to an auto-body shop for a protective clear-coat. She is now out-to-pasture in Marin County, California.

Buttercup was a lot of fun, and really brought out an enthusiastic response from everyone that viewed her. Please contact Krystal if you are interested in having your personal landscape painted on one of these bovines from CowPainters.com.

Poppy

Poppy, a table-top, smaller scale version of Buttercup, was a greater challenge than first anticipated. Anchoring the image to the base by painting the legs as tree trunks tied the entire piece together. The effect is to give the viewer a glimpse through the trees to a golden hillscape typical of rural Northern California. The base is painted as a bed of leaves and poppies in dappled light.
